Diamondback's Release 29 2 mountain bike is a reliable trail machine that includes modern features and technology, making this a dynamic mountain ride. The 29 2 offers features like dual-link rear suspension, easy handling, a dropper post, smooth drivetrain and brakes. It's a trail ripper, made of aluminum and built on the same 130 travel Level Link suspension platform as its smaller-wheeled counterparts, the Release and Catch full-suspension bikes. The 29 2 is a mountain bike for all discerning trail riders that are hoping to get some versatile riding out of their new trail machine. This bike will get after technical descents or arduous, steady climbs if that's what you're looking for. Less experienced riders will have an easier time on the 29 2 thanks to handling that's easier to manage at lower speeds, and a 140mm travel Fox Rhythm 34 fork that gives you plenty of wiggle room riding on the trails. The geometry of this bike has been adjusted for 29-inch wheels while still maintaining the playfulness that earned the Level Link bikes their reputation. Diamondback outfitted the Fox Float DPS Performance shock is an EVOL LV air sleeve for responsiveness and a bottomless feel. The result is a vibration-dampening ride that smooths out the toughest, technical terrain. A Shimano SLX drivetrain and hydraulic stoppers let you stay focused, no matter what the trail gives you to run with. This is not the most lightweight of all trail bikes, but it is one that will give you an edge. The 29 2 is responsive and delivers stability even on the toughest terrain. Modern features and technology make it a smooth-handling machine for most riders, who will only benefit on the trails.
